Open the app, tap the camera icon, and point it at any receipt. AI reads the vendor name, amount, date, and expense category automatically — usually in under 5 seconds. If confidence is high, the expense saves silently. If lower, a review card appears so you can confirm or edit before saving. Printed, handwritten, and digital receipt screenshots are all supported.

Every account gets a unique personal receipt email address shown in Settings. Forward any receipt email — or a full credit card statement PDF — to that address. AI parses all transactions automatically and logs them. Full statements are supported: every transaction is extracted in a single pass, payments and credits excluded. Items that couldn't be parsed clearly surface as action items in your Overview for quick review.

Tap + and select Voice. A full-screen mic modal opens and starts listening immediately. Speak naturally — "fourteen fifty for coffee with a client" — and a live transcript appears as you talk. Silence detection ends recording automatically. High-confidence expenses are saved instantly with no extra step. If the AI isn't certain, a review card appears with the detected details pre-filled for you to confirm.

Anything about your expense history in plain language. Examples: "How much did I spend on food this month?", "What was my biggest expense last week?", "Show me everything I spent on travel in Q1", or "Am I over budget on software?" For linked accounts you can also ask about your partner's spending or your combined total. All answers are computed directly from your data — never estimated.

Yes — both. Canadian users get CRA-aligned expense categories (T2125), GST/HST/PST split on every expense, and input tax credit tracking. US users get IRS Schedule C aligned categories. When you export to CSV, all tax columns are included automatically based on your region setting. You can switch between CA and US mode in Settings at any time.

Set a total monthly spending cap from your Overview dashboard — tap the pencil icon on the budget card and enter your limit. A live progress bar tracks your spending against that cap, shifting from green to amber at 80% and red at 100%. Budget always resets to the calendar month. Caps are a Pro feature and your settings are preserved even if your subscription lapses.

In addition to a total cap, set individual limits per expense category — for example $500 for Travel, $300 for Software. Managed in Categories & Data in Settings via an expandable panel per category. The dashboard shows a mini progress bar per category. If you rename or delete a category, its cap migrates automatically.

One person generates an invite link from Family & Sharing in Settings — valid for 30 days. When the partner accepts, both accounts are linked with no shared login or merged data. View All, Mine, or Partner's expenses using the tab filter. A shared monthly budget cap is visible and tracked by both. Either person can unlink at any time. Linked accounts is a Pro feature.

Go to Settings → Categories & Data and tap Export CSV. The file includes Date, Vendor, Amount, Category, Notes, GST, HST, and PST columns. For linked accounts, the owner gets an Export All option producing a merged CSV with a Member column. Canadian accountants don't need receipt images at filing — the CSV has everything required for CRA submission.
